

The RibereƱa Fishing Production Cooperative Society Leyes de Reforma was established on August 28, 1974, and received its operating authorization on October 22 of the same year from the then Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
This organization was formed by 104 founding members, resulting from the union of efforts of a group of fishermen and the industrial workers of the company "Prepared Foods of Baja California," thus creating what was the first industrial fishing cooperative in the country, as the industrial process was integrated into the fishing operation from its inception within the same society.
